Ben Maestas (he,him)

Owner, Filmmaker, Storyteller

Ben is the proud owner of Swae Media, a queer and latino owned media brand. He left his 10 year career as an architect and designer in 2021 to pursue his passion for filmmaking. Prior to architecture he lived his dream dancing and choreographing professionally, locally and in the U.S. Architecture and the arts have given him a pin-point eye for detail and a highly creative sensibility, this along with his introverted and intuitive nature give him unique gifts that he brings to his filmmaking and photography.

Community Support

We understand the challenges of being a small business and believe in the power of community. That is why we are committed to supporting you by offering one pro bono project per quarter. Through this Community Support Program, we provide our services to organizations and individuals who may not have the means to access our services otherwise. Through our storytelling, we aim to make a positive impact on those who need it most. We are proud to contribute to the development of our community and strive to create lasting and positive change.
